In this course, students will explore solar electric systems for homes, farms, and businesses.

• Types of photovoltaic (PV) modules
• Types of solar electric systems
• Assessing electrical demand in new and existing buildings
• Determining the solar resource
• Optimizing the performance of a solar electric system

• Economics of PV systems
• Net metering
• Financial incentives
