This program features a variety of courses focusing on the built environment, including green and natural building technologies, as well as renewable energy options and conservation strategies.
Our students
Our introductory to intermediate-level courses are aimed at a diverse audience: working professionals investigating green building and energy, do-it-yourself home owners seeking ways to live more sustainably, K-12 teachers looking to enhance and expand their science curriculum, and others interested in reducing their impact on our environment.
Certificate or individual coursework
We offer all our courses individually for continuing education credits. The classes can also be applied towards the Sustainable Buildings & Energy Certificate, which we offer in conjunction with the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Courses vary in cost depending upon length; most face-to-face courses are 1 to 3 days and are offered over the weekend. Each full day of instruction is considered 8 contact hours; earn your certificate by completing 100 contact hours within three years. No application is required; call and register for your first course today.
