ECON 1000


4.0 semester hours

Introduces an economic way of thinking, emphasizing its critical importance in cases where people want to make themselves as well off as possible, but can't have everything they want. Focuses on how economic thought affects all choices. Topics include scarcity, decision making, and markets. Students may not receive credit for ECON 1000 or 1001 if they have received credit for ECON 2010 or 2020. Similar to ECON 1001, 2010, and 2020. Meets MAPS requirement for social science: general. Approved for arts and sciences core curriculum: contemporary societies.
