
A professional certificate might be just what you need to take your career to the next level or to begin a new career path. The Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies has partnered with departments at CU-Boulder to offer the following certificates:
Independent Learning in conjunction with the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences is now offering a noncredit Certificate Program in Sustainable Practices. These courses are all offered individually or you can combine any courses for a total of 100 contact hours to earn your Sustainable Practices certificate.
The Professional Certificate: Speech Language Pathology Assistant provides the opportinity for individuals desiring employment in public schools as a speech language pathology assistant (SLPA) to meet the requisite requirements for authorization in the state of Colorado and to develop the skills to work under the supervision of a MA Level SLP.
The Global Business Communication Certificate for International Executives and Managers offers English language training and experience that give program participants a competitive business advantage with practical and effective cross-cultural business communication skills.
The Center for Advanced Engineering and Technology Education (CAETE) offers working professionals a way to continue their education in engineering, technical, and management fields via various distance delivery methods, during evenings and weekends, and in a traditional classroom setting.
Recognizing the competitive nature of the job market for new graduates and the needs of employers, Executive Development Programs offer the CU Business Intensive Certificate (CUBIC) program. This three week, noncredit program is designed to provide non-business majors and recent graduates with a solid understanding of fundamental business skills.
Advertising a2b is a three-week intensive certificate program that will help you decide whether advertising is right for you. It will also help give you the skills you need to get the job you want when you graduate. a2b is open to all non-advertising majors with at least 65 hours of credit. In a workshop environment, we’ll map out the basics of advertising: account management, account planning, media and creative. At the end of the first two weeks you will be given a chance to put your new knowledge to work for a real client.
The Boulder Digital Works (BDW) is the CU School of Journalism and Mass Communication’s new initiative in executive education and professional development. The Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies is excited to be a part of this new endeavor with the School. Located at the University of Colorado at Boulder, BDW is a project-based learning initiative focused on developing today and tomorrow’s digital leaders and entrepreneurs. BDW is led by acclaimed practitioners and researchers from business, creative, and technology disciplines. The program is designed for people who want to change the world through digital creativity, innovation, and leadership, and are actively interested in a career in the digital industry.
