Applied Music

Registration and Important Dates:

Spring 2010 registration begins November 2, 2009, and classes begin the week of February 1, 2010. You will receive e-mail notification of your instructor’s contact information from the Continuing Education office on January 25, February 1 and 8.

Tuition:

$498 for 2 credit hours. Nonresidents taking four (4) or more hours through Continuing Education may be subject to nonresident tuition assessment.

Credit:

Two (2) semester hours; courses can be taken for a letter grade, pass/fail, or no credit. You must indicate your preference before the 100% drop/add deadline. Incompletes will not be permitted. Engineering students must take Applied Music lessons pass/fail.

Registration Procedures:

Click on Enroll above for complete information. Engineering students must register either by e-mail at appmusic@colorado,edu, fax to 303-492-5335, or in person at the Continuing Education Center.

You will receive e-mail notification of your instructor’s contact information on January 25, February 1 and 8. Note: Instructors should be contacted within 48 hours after you receive the information. If you and your instructor cannot agree on times, you must change sections/instructors before the drop deadline.

Drops/Withdrawals:

100% refund through 5:00 pm February 8, 2010
60% refund through 5:00 pm February 15, 2010
No refunds after February 15, 2010

Administrative Drop Policy:

If you do not attend your course regularly during the first week through the last day to drop, you may be administratively dropped. Check with your instructor or contact Continuing Education for additional information.

Lessons

Group lessons are available for beginning and intermediate guitar, and beginning piano, as well as hand drum circle.  Private lessons are scheduled between the student and the instructor at a mutually convenient time.
