Rob Knight

Rob Knight is an Early Career Scientist with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and a Professor in the BioFrontiers Institute, the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and the Department of Computer Science. He is the Principal Investigator of the grants supporting the Earth Microbiome Project, and co-founder of the American Gut project, the largest crowdfunded citizen science initiative that we are aware of. He is a Senior Editor of the ISME Journal, the leading journal in microbial ecology, and currently develops technologies for studying microbial communities around our bodies and our planet.
