CU-Boulder to Offer New Youth Piano Lessons in the Fall

The University of Colorado Boulder will now offer piano lessons for youth ages 6 to 17 years old. Through the CU-Boulder Youth Piano Program, youth will learn from experienced College of Music instructors who are supervised by the CU Piano Pedagogy Chair, Dr. Alejandro Cremaschi. The lessons provide thorough instruction at the highest and most effective pedagogical standards while providing opportunities for fun, motivation, and enjoyment of music.

Students train weekly with one-hour private or group lessons depending on age and experience. Group lessons are recommended for absolute beginners ages 6-8, and students ages 9-17 should enroll in one-on-one lessons. New students will have a diagnostic lesson and parent interview with the instructor to determine their level and needs.

Fall 2012 lessons begin the week of September 4 and will be located in the College of Music IMIG building (CU campus map). Group lessons will take place at 4 p.m. on Fridays beginning Sept. 7. Space is limited. Register today
